Look OF | ON Women
“Look OF | ON Women” is the new exhibition organized by CEA – Concilio Europeo dell’Arte at InParadiso 3030 Gallery alongside the 58th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia which continues CEA’s project to delve into and enhance the female figure in Art.
The renovated location next to the magnificent Basilica dei Frari, in the historic center of Venice, hosts contemporary art exhibitions supporting CEA’s cultural projects.
The new exhibition presents works by female and male artists who, through different and complementary expressive techniques, establish a dialogue from which sensitivity to natural elements and feminine elegance emerge, questioning the audience about the cultural identity of feminism and women’s social role.
For the occasion, the Concilio Europeo dell’Arte presents artworks by international renowned artists such as the American photographer Alexa Miller, who tells the elegance of the feminine movements with her shots, the innovative and bright video performances of the Thai Kawita Vatanajyankur (who presented her complete last series “Performing Textiles” at the solo- exhibition hosted at InParadiso 3030 until July 2019), while the Croatian Tea Bičić paints with rapid brush strokes natural elements on canvas and wood trying to capture their essentiality. The male artistic look prediliges to investigate the physical presence/absence of women: Anthony Fachin takes us back to the corporeality of female movement while Ramiro takes us into the world of dreams to discover light and indistinct memories. He paints only from life, searching for accuracy beyond physical appearance to reach the psychological state of his subject.
