In a historical and social context that is always in flux, digital art, that form of artistic expression that uses digital technologies as the main tool for the creation, production and/or distribution of the work, is taking on an increasingly decisive role. The European Council of Art has always been committed to giving value to all forms of art and has demonstrated this by hosting dedicated exhibitions in parallel with the events of the Venice Biennale.
Digital art is destined to an experience costant evolution, driven by constant technological innovation and increasingly intense interaction between artist and audience. In the coming years, we will witness the expansion of techniques such as augmented reality, virtual reality and artificial intelligence, which will open up new scenarios for artistic creation. Immersive environments and interactive works capable of emotionally and sensorially involving spectators will be developed, breaking down the traditional boundaries between author and user. These developments, together with the advent of innovative virtual platforms, promise to profoundly transform the global cultural landscape, bringing digital art to the center of the contemporary creative scene.
“Art is created by humans, for other humans. It has not always been this way. The ancient Greeks felt that art and creativity came from the gods. Inspiration was divine inspiration”. This approach to art is rapidly changing in response to the new role played by Artificial Intelligence and its extraordinary ability to modify algorithms and ways of interacting with humans. The 2022 edition of the Venice Art Biennale saw the appearance of AI.DA Robot, the most famous ultra-realistic humanoid artist in the art world», as its creators describe it. The exhibition “Leaping into the Metaverse”, organized in the spaces of InParadiso Art Gallery, attracted an incredible number of visitors, intrigued by this new way of conceiving art.
